Financial innovation think tank The Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation joins LFBF

The London Foundation for Banking & Finance (LFBF) today announced that the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation (CSFI) joined LFBF with effect from 31 July 2024.

The CSFI is a think tank for financial services professionals and observers to share ideas about the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. LFBF is a registered charity incorporated by Royal Charter, with a heritage of over 145 years. LFBF will continue the CSFI’s thought leadership activities, under the CSFI brand. 

Shelley Doorey-Williams, Chief Executive of LFBF, commented:  

“The CSFI has a fantastic heritage and reputation as a thought leader – helping the finance industry debate and tackle some of the most important opportunities and issues of our time. As a charity with a history of over 145 years, I am delighted that we will be able to continue that work. 

“LFBF’s mission is advancing knowledge and education in financial services and to carry out research for the benefit of the public – CSFI’s activities fit very well with that. LFBF also has a community of chartered members and is looking forward to engaging and collaborating with the CSFI community and the industry more broadly as we develop our activities.”

The CSFI was founded in 1993 as an independent think tank. Its purpose was to provide a forum where financial services professionals and observers could share ideas about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
