The London Foundation for Banking and Finance to co-host UK Financial Capability Awards with the Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards
June 30th, 2026
The London Foundation for Banking and Finance (LFBF) is set to co-host a gala awards dinner in London on 30th June, in partnership with the global Money Awareness & Inclusion Awards (MAIAs), for the second time.
The 2026 UK Gala Awards for Financial Capability will celebrate outstanding organisations demonstrating best practice in financial capability across the UK and shine a spotlight on the important work being done to help people understand money better, and benefit from financial systems. The event will take place in Guildhall in London.
Entrants to the 2026 Financial Capability Awards were received and assessed independently as part of the MAIAs global awards process. The MAIAs convened a 23-member judging panel of global financial experts adjudicating the winners and runners-up. 244 entries were received across 17 categories and the UK award winners set to be announced at the awards ceremony, represent the top achievements of entries from the UK. The MAIAs judging panel included representatives from the University of Singapore, HSBC, the Financial Times, the University of Birmingham and The Economist Educational Foundation.
The event, taking place 30th June will convene leaders from financial services, education, regulation, charities and social impact organisations. It is hoped that the event will provide a vital platform to share evidence-based ideas, celebrate progress and strengthen collective action on improving financial capability.
This year’s events build on the success of the last year’s awards. The 2025 winners were:
- Best Book UK: The Money Pizza, written by Fleur Iannazzo – a clear, accessible take on personal finance for those overwhelmed by traditional advice.
